If you want to find out exactly what coffee from a particular country tastes like, choose a single origin. The soil, temperatures, and altitudes of different countries influence the flavour of the coffee grown there. Caffe L’affare single origins are clearly named by the country the beans come from – Brazil, Colombia, Kenya, Cuba... 

Our popular blends, Primo, Brew and City are a mixture of coffees from many different countries giving a precise balance of flavours for your chosen brewing method.

Primo is New Zealand’s favourite espresso blend, Brew a wonderfully refreshing filter blend and City a strong satisfying plunger blend.

Our Blends:

Primo – A blend of the finest coffees from Africa, Central and South America. Primo is big, rich and handsome with a spectacular spectrum of flavours. Medium/dark roasted. Our favourite espresso and stovetop blend, also great for plunger.

Brew – A refreshing blend of coffees from Africa and Latin America. Brew is a gentle and well balanced blend to be enjoyed all day. Medium roasted. Our favourite filter blend. Also great for plunger and espresso.

City – A stunning blend of Primo and Mocha beans. City is rich, full-bodied and strong. Medium/dark roasted. Our favourite plunger blend.

Gusto FTO - Gusto FTO is a blend of Fairtrade and Organic Certified coffees sourced from Guatemala, Honduras, and Ethiopia. Gusto boasts a dynamic flavour profile that starts with savoury cinnamon notes and finishes with distinct dark chocolate. Medium/dark roasted. Great for all brewing methods, especially espresso.

Our Single Origins:

Brazil – All our Monte Alegre estate Brazilian beans are Utz certified. Full-bodied, sweet and aromatic, it makes a wonderfully satisfying plunger coffee. Medium/dark roasted.

Colombia – Our Colombian Supremo is smooth and gentle with a complex acidity and rich flavour. Medium roasted. Beautiful for plungers.

Cuba - A distinctive taste of the Carribbean. Rich, interesting and mildly spicy.

Dark – The finest Colombian Supremo beans taken to a full dark roast. Dark has a deep and intense flavour. Ideal for stovetops.

Decaffeinated – The finest Central American beans, decaffeinated using the all natural Swiss Water Process. It has a gentle sweetness that those sensitive to caffeine will love. Dark roasted. Great for plunger and espresso.

Fairtrade Organic Honduras – Our Fairtrade Organic beans are sourced from Fairtrade and Organic Certified estates. This FTO Honduras has apple and spice notes and medium acidity. Medium roasted. Ideal for plunger.

Fairtrade Organic Mexican - Our Fairtrade Organic beans are all sourced from Fairtrade and Organic Certified estates. This FTO Mexican Chiapas is a gutsy, complex brew with medium acidity. Medium roasted. Ideal for plunger and filter.

Guatemala – An extraordinary single origin with excellent body and a distinctive smoky aroma and flavour that good Guatemalan coffee is famous for.

Indian – We use Mysore the most celebrated of the Indian coffees, which is gentle with a rich sweetness. Medium roasted.

Kenya – Our top graded Kenyan coffee has a distinctive dry finish and citrus characterisics. A favourite of the coffee connoisseur.The perfect remedy for a jaded palate. Medium roasted. Excellent in plunger and filter.

Mocha – A stunning single origin using beans from the home of coffee – Ethiopia. This Ethiopian Yirgacheffe has tantalising fruit acidity, excellent body and a subtle cocoa finish. Medium roasted. Ideal for plunger.
