A lot of customers will judge a new café on its first day of service. Just as you would never put an inexperienced chef in the kitchen, your baristas too should be confident and well trained. We have the resources and expertise to get you and your staff making beautiful espresso from day one.

The training room
Our purpose built training facilities in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch provide the perfect environment for learning how to prepare espresso. Each barista has their own espresso station to work at.
Classes
Our introductory class goes through the key elements of extraction, milk texturing and pouring, and machine cleaning, as well as preparing the complete espresso menu. We limit the class to a maximum of 4 participants.
For establishments outside Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch, training can take place on site. We can work outside opening hours so that there are no interruptions to the class.
Please note:
Barista training is part of the service we provide to the cafes that use our coffee. It is provided free of charge.
PUBLIC TRAINING CLASS:
Every Thursday, 4-6pm, 10 Jessie St, 2 minutes from our Wellington cafe. We train using either commercial machinery or the domestic Rocket, depending on your requirements. Bookings are essential. Maximum of 4 per class. $140 pp includes goodie bag of coffee, hot chocolate & our book How to Make Really Good Coffee. |
