What does Caffe L'affare mean?

Why is Caffe spelt with two fs?
It's the Italian word for coffee. The earliest cafes put up a sign saying "Caffe", and the name of their main product became the name of this type of establishment.
How do you pronounce L'affare?

What does espresso mean?
It's literal meaning in Italian is "pressed out", but the term has at least three meanings. First, it refers to the process by which hot water is forced under pressure through ground coffee. The coffee liquor is expressed. Second, the process must be carried out on an express basis. Extracting too slowly will spoil the flavour. Third, an espresso must be made expressly for you - it can't be made ahead of time.
Where does the best coffee come from?
There is no simple answer. Each country's coffee has different characteristics, so the coffee you drink is usually a blend of coffees from several different countries which together provide a well-rounded full flavour.
What makes coffee bitter?
Bitterness comes out of coffee only after the coffee flavour has been extracted. If coffee is bitter, it has been brewed for too long, or is ground too finely for the brewing method, leading to over-extraction. Boiling coffee will also cause bitterness.
Is decaffeinated coffee 100% caffeine free?
There is no decaffeination process that removes 100% of caffeine from coffee. Our SWP Decaf has 99% of the caffeine removed. More caffeine is removed in the roasting process; darker roasts have slightly less caffeine.

Gemadro is the name of the estate from which these Ethiopian beans originate.
What does Santos mean, as in Brazilian Santos?
Santos coffee is grown mainly in the Sao Paulo region and is named after the port from which it is shipped. Sometimes referred to as Bourbon Santos, it is the highest grade of coffee that Brazil produces.
What does Mysore mean, as in Indian Mysore?
Mysore, now called Karnataka, was the name of the Southern Indian state where Indian Mysore is grown.
What is Swiss Water Process Decaffeination?
SWP is the only completely natural decaffeination process. The green beans are saturated in water to remove the caffeine, then a carbon filter attracts the caffeine, removing it from the solution. The beans are then re-saturated in the flavour charged water.
