Located in Cirri Sur, Naranjo, Costa Rica, this award-winning farm is the result of the hard work and dedication of Don Carlos and his wife Diana. They own 5 small farms in total and also La Perla Del Café Micro mill, where they produce around 300 bags of coffee per year, with a focus on quality over quantity. This year the farm produced a SL-28 varietal as a natural process, which is different from their normal honey or washed process coffees. This dedication to quality meant the farm achieved 11th place in the best of Costa Rica for 2019.
When ground there is intense peach, nectarine and vanilla bean fragrances, with flavours of raspberry, peach, maple, pomegranate and a dry grape and mandarin aftertaste. There is a juicy medium to high acidity that is complemented by a silky medium body. This exceptionally balanced coffee will taste fantastic, hot or cold and no matter what brew method is used to brew it.
