Community has always been central to L’affare’s ethos, and helping to support creative New Zealanders doing good things really floats our boat too.

This year we’ve developed a fund for investment back into our local communities – meaning every time you buy a coffee in one of our compostable ‘cameo’ cups, you’re giving back too.

You might of seen our first ‘cameo’, Raining Coffee in the market. We were able to donate $4,000 towards social enterprise Inspiring Stories, and their youth leadership programme Future Leaders. The cup is the work of clever Massey University College of Creative Arts student, Luiggi Riccio, and we think it’s a smashing illustration of the way coffee brings people together.

We’ll be releasing our second round of cups in May 2018, supporting Cultivate, based in Christchurch.  Featuring another incredible  artwork from Massey University College of Creative Arts student, Shelby Derks-Wyatt.

If you know of any innovative, not-for-profit organisations that need a helping hand to keep on exploring and discovering, to make this country a more interesting place to live in, email amyd@laffare.co.nz.
