Located in the Canas Verdes Boquete region of Panama, Abu Coffee is so named in honour of the memory of José Guillermo Luttrell Tedman, represents the legacy of this visionary and passionate lover of Boquete and specialty coffee. The Abu coffee is grown on the slopes of the Baru Volcano in rich volcanic soil. The virgin rain forests make a humid and rainy microclimate that allows the coffee grown in this area to achieve a unique combination of distinct and complex characteristics that includes an intense juicy flavor and aromatic floral notes.
Expect intense stone fruit and winey plum when ground and flavours of strawberry, black currant, peach and gooseberry finishing with a lingering strawberry jam and peach aftertaste. The medium acidity is smooth and sweet citrus with a rounded and light honeyed body. This coffee will be delicious whatever brew method used.
