ROASTERS’ CUP – LWE KAUNG NATURAL MYANMAR

Notes of blood orange, tart raspberry, and preserved lemon come alive in this flavorful coffee. From a group called Behind the Leaf founded by Melanie Edwards, who first moved to Lwe Kaung village to set up a water filter factory & teach health education in local schools. In 2016, the water filter NGO started to work with coffee after farmers asked for help to market their coffee to overseas buyers. Training took place for harvesting & growers started drying coffee on raised beds instead of the floor, improving the quality. The care and attention to detail really show in this well-balanced cup.
